Renton Community School
How it Works
Facilitators: Entrepreneurial-minded community members (maybe you!) lead enrichment classes in areas they are passionate about such as cooking, gardening, fitness, arts, and more.
Contracting: Facilitators are contracted by the Renton Chamber of Commerce Foundation and may build their own pay structure, charging for classes and collecting revenue.
Supporting Empowerment: A small portion of the revenue and the facilities fee is collected by The Renton Community School to support low or no-cost economic empowerment classes, ensuring accessibility for all residents.
Enrichment Classes
Enrichment classes are designed to enhance participants' skills and knowledge in a specific area of interest, such as cooking, gardening, fitness, arts, and more. These classes offer opportunities for personal growth, creativity, and enjoyment, allowing individuals to explore new hobbies or deepen existing passions.
Empowerment Classes
Empowerment classes are geared towards equipping individuals with practical skills and knowledge to enhance their lives and career prospects. These courses cover a range of topics including improving English literacy, financial literacy, earning GED/HS credentials, and workforce training. We strive to provide these classes at low/no cost to Renton residents.
